Counterfeit bush timing chain for ZMZ engines based on EURO3

In retail of CIS countries are available counterfeit timing chains of DITTON Driving Chain Factory No.514-1006040-20, No.514-1006040-30 and No. 406-1006040-30 for ZMZ engines based on EURO3 emission standard, as well as a part of timing chain repair kit. By copying the external features of the goods, there is even used the trademark - "ДЦ" (spelling “DC”) without any significant changes, what is an obvious violation of rights and of a law.

At first glance there are following differences between the original and counterfeit timing chains:

1. Connecting link

Riveting: pins with conical head

Colour of plates: yellow-straw

Date of chain production: the numbers disclose the month and the year of production

Riveting: pins with the flat head and cuts on two parallel sides

Colour of plates: dark-blue

Date of chain production: none

Riveting: linear and symmetrical 

Blueing: white-blue

Trademark "ДЦ" (spelling - "DC"): clear image

Riveting: pins have uneven ends, and even scraps in some places. Judging by width of the chain, riveting is done unevenly.

Blueing: dark-blue

Trademark "ДЦ" (spelling - "DC"): in some places unclear or even incomplete emboss of the trademark, in other too deep imprint 

3. Bushes

There are obvious traces and dark spots of corrosion on the surfaces of bushes. Due to inappropriate welding bushes have fault of the open instead of close weld.

The counterfeit bush timing chain is not suitable for the car engine. It`s use as a timing chain may lead to chain break directly in the car engine causing the damage of the motor and valves.

The testing results of the counterfeit timing chain showed that the chain does not comply with the requirements for the automotive 9,525 mm pitch duplex bush timing chain due to breaking load, geometrical features and the steel hardening quality of chain parts.
